St. Stephen Deacon Martyr
  • The 37,500 square foot facility features an open design sanctuary with vaulted ceiling and seating for nearly 1,200 worshipers
  • At the time, this church, located in Tinley Park, Illinois was the first new one constructed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago in eleven years
  • An impressive 18’x35’ stained glass window towers behind the stunning altar which is made of green-hued stone called Boughtomoor, imported from England
  • A unique feature of the construction is the use of stained glass, stations of the cross, and statues previously used in now closed churches  The complex also includes twenty additional areas for meetings, offices and religious education sessions  Movable walls allow for additional meeting areas
  • The facility was designed for future expansion, which may include the addition of a parish hall and gymnasium
